Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you ride.

Documents & KYC

What documents do I need to rent a bike?

A valid Indian driving licence for two-wheelers (MCWG, or MCWOG for scooters) that you have held for at least 1 year [CONFIRM POLICY], plus Aadhaar. Foreign nationals need a passport with a valid visa and an International Driving Permit along with their home licence. You upload these once in the app and carry the original licence at pickup.

How long does KYC take?

Upload your licence and Aadhaar (or passport) in the uDrive app after booking. Our team verifies them before your pickup time, usually within a few hours during hub working hours [CONFIRM POLICY]. You can book before KYC is approved; the bike is handed over only after approval.

What is the minimum age?

You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid licence for the vehicle class [CONFIRM POLICY]. Some high-capacity bikes may need a higher minimum age [CONFIRM POLICY].

Deposit & payments

Is there a security deposit and when is it refunded?

Yes. The refundable deposit for each bike is shown in its rate plan and collected with your booking. After you return the bike we deduct only documented charges (fuel shortfall, extra kilometres, late return, damage or traffic fines) and refund the rest to your original UPI account, typically within 3 to 7 working days [CONFIRM POLICY].

How do I pay?

We accept UPI. After you confirm a booking we show a QR code with an exact amount (it may differ by a few paise so we can match your payment automatically). Pay that exact amount within 15 minutes. If the confirmation does not arrive, enter your UPI transaction reference (UTR) and our team will verify it.

Are prices inclusive of GST?

Rental tariffs are shown before GST. The booking summary shows GST separately before you pay. GST is not charged on the refundable deposit.

Riding

Is fuel included?

No. Bikes are handed over with fuel and you return them at the same level. Any shortfall is charged at the current pump price plus a refuelling fee [CONFIRM POLICY].

Is there a kilometre limit?

Each bike has a daily kilometre allowance shown in its rate plan (some plans are unlimited). Kilometres above the allowance for your whole booking are charged at the extra-km rate shown on the bike page.

Are helmets provided?

One helmet is included with every booking [CONFIRM POLICY]. A second helmet can be added during booking as an add-on where available.

Can I ride outside Kerala?

Interstate travel needs prior approval from the hub and may carry extra charges [CONFIRM POLICY]. Tell us at the time of booking.

Changes & cancellations

What happens if I return the bike late?

We allow a 30-minute grace period. After that, a late fee per hour (shown in the bike's rate plan) applies until the bike is returned. If you know you will be late, extend the booking from My bookings so the bike stays reserved for you.

Can I extend my booking?

Yes, from My bookings or the app, as long as the bike is not booked by someone else after you. You pay the additional rent for the extension by UPI.

What is the cancellation policy?

More than 24 hours before pickup: full refund of rent. Between 6 and 24 hours: 50% of rent refunded. Less than 6 hours or no-show: rent is not refunded. The security deposit is always refunded in full on cancellation [CONFIRM POLICY]. See the Refund policy page for details.

Delivery & support

Do you deliver bikes to my door?

Yes, at hubs that offer doorstep delivery. Choose "Doorstep delivery" when searching. The fee depends on the distance from the hub (with a minimum fee) and is shown before you pay. Addresses outside the hub delivery radius cannot be served.

What if the bike breaks down?

Call our roadside help line on [PHONE]. We will guide you, arrange repair or a replacement bike where possible. Breakdowns caused by normal wear are on us; damage from misuse or accidents is charged as per the rental agreement.

Who pays traffic fines?

The rider is responsible for traffic fines and challans issued during the rental period. Unpaid challans may be deducted from the deposit along with a processing fee [CONFIRM POLICY].
